People treat Arista as a Santa Clara data-center switch house that always printed ANET on a mature Big Board book.
The first public print was an eleven-year-old cloud-networking company selling a minority slice.
Arista's own 6 June 2014 release priced 5,250,000 common shares at 43.00 dollars a share and granted underwriters an option on 787,500 more.
The same release said the shares were expected to begin trading that day on the New York Stock Exchange under ANET. Morgan Stanley and Citigroup led the book.
Investor's Business Daily recorded that the sale raised 225.8 million dollars in 2014 currency and that the 43-dollar print sat above the 36-to-40 dollar range.
Reuters, citing the Wall Street Journal, put the priced book at about 2.75 billion dollars in 2014 currency.
TechCrunch recorded an opening print of 55.25 dollars. Converge Digest recorded a first-day close of 55 dollars, up nearly 28 percent from the offer, and a market value of 3.56 billion dollars in 2014 currency.
The 2013 accounts cited in contemporaneous coverage showed net income of 42.5 million dollars on revenue of 361.2 million dollars in 2013 currency.
The mechanism is a profitable switch maker priced above its filed range and marked up on the first public tape.
A 43-dollar offer that opens at 55.25 dollars is a scarcity print, not a leftover book.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange, where ANET opened. Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
