People treat Universal Health Services as a King of Prussia hospital house that always printed UHS after a finished New York book.
The present New York letters arrived after an American Stock Exchange book.
The company's own timeline dates an initial public offering to 16 January 1980.
FundingUniverse records that the publicly traded class was one of four, carrying most of the equity and little of the vote, and that the shares first lived on the American Stock Exchange.
Simply Wall St dates the New York Stock Exchange listing of the Class B common to June 1991.
Encyclopedia.com, reprinting the same company history, places the NYSE vote just after a 1991 sale of losing hospitals to Compass Group.
The mechanism of the New York pin is a transfer of an already-public Class B book off the American board, not a cash IPO on Broad Street.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange, where the Class B tape printed UHS. Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
