People treat Qnity as a Wilmington electronics-materials house that always printed Q after a finished New York book.
The November 2025 issuer was Qnity Electronics, Inc., the former DuPont electronics business separated as its own Delaware company.
A DuPont release dated 3 November 2025 and the companion Form 8-K record the steps. The distribution closed on 1 November 2025. Holders of record on 22 October 2025 received one Qnity common share for every two DuPont common shares. About 209 million Qnity shares went out.
Regular-way trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the single letter Q began on 3 November 2025. The same day the new book joined the S and P 500.
The present tape is Q on the New York Stock Exchange.
The mechanism is a materials spin-off. DuPont kept the diversified industrial book under DD. The semiconductor-facing book printed a new one-letter ticker.
The pin is the public Broad Street facade of the 1903 New York Stock Exchange building, the street marker for the tape that now prints Q.
Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
