On this Blox lies the Head Quarters for The Bank of Nova Scotia. Elon Musk's first important internship was done here.

"While attending Queen’s University, Elon augmented his skill set as an Entrepreneurial Engineer by selling computer parts and fully assembled computers in his dormitory for additional income. Furthermore, acknowledging his own shortcomings in public speaking, he took the initiative to participate in school-wide public speaking contests. This wasn't merely a pursuit of his innate interests or a straightforward progression on his academic path, but rather a deliberate and strategic move to enhance his Skills (Step 4!) to level-up in the Game he had chosen to play.

It was also during this time, one of his most important Allies (Step 5) - his brother Kimball Musk - joined him at Queen’s University. In order to further expand their Alliance via Mentors and acquire more Business Skills, they flipped through newspapers to find prominent business people and took on the Quest (Step 6) to cold-call the potential Mentors to get lunch together.

Through this Quest, they got in touch with Peter Nicholson, an executive from the Bank of Nova Scotia. Even though Nicholson was not in the same region and required hours of travel by train to meet, the Musk Brothers were so determined to build Alliances that they invited him for lunch. It took 6 months to get on Nicholson’s calendar, but he agreed to meet these kids because they had the boldness and gumption to cold-call him and arrange a meeting. 

Following their encounter, Nicholson was impressed enough by their unyielding determination that he offered a summer internship Quest at his bank to Elon, cementing himself as a trusted advisor for years to follow. 

The Internship Quest (Step 6) at Bank of Nova Scotia allowed Elon Musk to acquire important Skills (Step 4) and Allies (Step 5) that would subsequently have a profound influence for Elon’s Paypal Quests many years later.

Throughout this time, Elon Musk seriously contemplated embarking on a career as a video game entrepreneur, driven by his passion for gaming. However, he felt such a path would not yield significant enough contributions to humanity. Consequently, he explored five engineering fields (or Major Questlines) which he believed could wield the most substantial impact on humanity's future:

1. Internet

2. Sustainable Energy

3. Space Exploration

4. Artificial Intelligence

5. Human Genetic Reprogramming or DNA Engineering

From this list, Musk unequivocally ruled out meddling with Human Genetics due to its ethical implications. However, he developed a profound fascination with Sustainable Energy and Space Exploration. Such interest was fueled in part by influential literary works like “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy,” and his admiration for the iconic astronaut, Neil Armstrong.

(In fact, when he met Nicholson’s daughter Christie, the second sentence he said after meeting her was: “I think a lot about electric cars. Do you think about electric cars?”)

If you recall from the Step 1: Choose Your Game chapter, one of the best ways to determine your Game is to explore which books and people that inspire you the most. This was literally the path that guided Elon towards his epic world-saving Game."
