People treat Super Micro as a San Jose server house that always printed SMCI after a finished Nasdaq book.
The first cash offering is dated.
A company pricing release dated 29 March 2007 records an initial public offering of 8,000,000 common shares at 8.00 dollars a share in 2007 currency, including 1,600,000 shares offered by selling stockholders.
The same release records that the common stock would trade on the Nasdaq Global Market under the symbol SMCI.
The present tape is still SMCI on Nasdaq.
The mechanism is a priced cash initial public offering of a server-and-motherboard book, not a New York floor listing.
The pin is the public Times Square facade of Nasdaq MarketSite, the street marker used for the SMCI tape.
Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
