People treat FedEx Freight as a Memphis trucking name that always printed FDXF after a finished less-than-truckload book.
The June 2026 issuer was FedEx Freight Holding Company, Inc. Until that week it sat inside FedEx Corporation and shared the FDX tape.
On 1 June 2026 the New York Stock Exchange opened regular-way trading under the letters FDXF. FedEx had distributed 80.1 percent of the Freight common on a pro rata basis.
Holders of record on 15 May 2026 received one Freight share for every two FedEx shares.
FedEx kept 19.9 percent and said it would dispose of that remainder within twenty-four months. Cash was paid in lieu of fractional shares.
The parent continued to print FDX.
The mechanism is a tax-structured spin that split an LTL network off an express and ground parent. Separate public equity let the trucking book trade on its own multiples.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange on the morning the new tape opened. Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
