People treat KKR as a New York buyout house that always printed KKR after a finished New York book.
The 2010 issuer was KKR and Co. L.P., the listed successor to the firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts founded in 1976.
A planned 2007 New York offering was shelved in the financial crisis.
Common units of KKR Guernsey had been trading on Euronext Amsterdam.
The firm announced that those Amsterdam units would cease trading at the close on 14 July 2010 and that common units of KKR and Co. L.P. would open on the New York Stock Exchange on 15 July 2010 under the letters KKR.
CNBC and Dow Jones recorded an opening print of 10.50 U.S. dollars in 2010 dollars.
Reuters recorded a first New York close of 10.20 U.S. dollars.
No new shares were sold on that transfer day.
The letters KKR still open on the New York Stock Exchange, later as a corporation rather than a partnership.
The mechanism is a 2010 listing transfer from Amsterdam, not a cash initial public offering.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange on the morning the New York book opened.
Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
