The letters GS opened on the New York Stock Exchange on 4 May 1999.
The first print was 76.00 dollars.
The session closed at 70.375 dollars.
The sale raised 3.657 billion dollars in 1999 currency, including the overallotment.
That stake was about 15 percent of the firm.
The mechanism is a cash IPO that listed a 130-year partnership after a 1998 partner vote and a postponed 1998 filing.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange on that opening.
