I was invited by President Zelenskyy's Office to explore how to use Gamification to rebuild Ukraine after the war. The experience was life-changing as I talked to many Ministers and saw a variety of war torn locations.
In this location there is a pile of Russian tanks that was destroyed by Ukraine troops as they marched into Kyiv on Feb 24, 2022. Research suggests Russian tanks did not enter Kyiv in 2022 due to strong Ukrainian resistance and logistical challenges. It seems likely that poor planning and international support for Ukraine also played significant roles. The evidence leans toward a combination of factors, including underestimation of Ukrainian forces and supply issues, preventing a successful advance.
I've never seen close up what a destroyed tank looks like, let alone standing on it. It was an unique experience, a sad reminder, but also a triumphant memorial on how brave Ukrainian soldiers saved their capital city.
