People treat Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings as a Miami cruise house that always printed NCLH after a finished Nasdaq book.
The January 2013 issuer was Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., a Bermuda company organized for the listing and still headquartered at 7665 Corporate Center Drive in Miami.
The company's own investor FAQ records that the ordinary shares went public on 18 January 2013 at 19 U.S. dollars a share in 2013 dollars.
A company closing release dated 24 January 2013 records the sale of 27,058,824 ordinary shares at that price, including the full underwriter option, for net proceeds of about 477.6 million U.S. dollars.
The first tape was Nasdaq under NCLH.
A company 8-K dated 7 December 2017 records the voluntary transfer to the New York Stock Exchange, with Nasdaq trading through 18 December 2017 and NYSE trading beginning 19 December 2017 under the same letters.
The present tape is still NCLH on the New York Stock Exchange.
The mechanism is a cash initial public offering that sold a minority slice of an already-operating cruise line, then a later venue transfer that kept the letters.
The pin is the public Times Square facade of Nasdaq MarketSite, the present street marker for the tape that first printed NCLH.
Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
