The Puma years get the headlines.

The first paid job sat on this Munich square.

Munzinger dates his start at Siemens Management Consulting to March 2005.

The in-house firm, later restyled Siemens Advanta, had been set up in 1996 to push digital work through the parent company.

Freundt worked there as a project manager and later as a senior project manager until July 2011.

Siemens' Munich headquarters in those years occupied Palais Ludwig Ferdinand on Wittelsbacherplatz, the Klenze palace the company had bought in 1957.

The glass block that faces the square now opened only in June 2016.

A visitor in 2026 is looking at a rebuilt campus on the same plot, not the rooms the consulting group used in 2005.

The palace itself is still there, painted and folded into Henning Larsen's new headquarters.

What the consulting years supplied is the method he later carried to Franconia: read a firm as a project, then move.

He left this square in July 2011 for Puma's strategy office in Herzogenaurach.

Six years of Siemens work is the missing middle of the short biographies that jump from Leipzig to the cat logo.

The square is public.

The palace façade is the piece a pedestrian can still stand in front of.
