Biography|Jean-Philippe Imparato — Named to Alfa Romeo the Day Stellantis Set Its Team

People treat Alfa Romeo's post-merger life as an Italian restoration story that began on this site in Arese.

The appointment itself was a paper act issued from Amsterdam.

On 19 January 2021 Stellantis published the Day One top team. Under Premium, the Alfa Romeo line read Jean-Philippe Imparato.

He left Peugeot the same day. Linda Jackson took the lion. Timothy Kuniskis left Alfa for Chrysler and Dodge.

French and Italian press that evening treated the move as the loudest brand swap in the new chart: a long-serving PSA man on an FCA nameplate.

This pin is not the Amsterdam office that issued the list. It is the Museo Storico on viale Alfa Romeo in Arese, the public building that still stands on the old works after car production ended in 2002 and engines in 2006.

The museum opened on 18 December 1976, closed for works, and reopened in June 2015. It is the place a visitor can actually walk into.

He kept the Alfa brief until October 2024, then took a wider European assignment and later Maserati and Stellantis and You. Those later chairs belong to other pins.

The 2021 list made Arese his problem. The museum is what remains of the factory that problem was named after.

A brand chief does not have to live in the museum. He does have to answer for a name whose last public rooms in Lombardy are these.
