On 21 May 2016 Apple opened 300 Post Street onto Union Square.
Doors — forty-two feet of sliding glass — opened at 10 a.m.
The Stockton Street shop, the city's first Apple Store from 2004, had closed the night before.
Angela Ahrendts and Jony Ive were on the floor.
Cook was chief executive. A staff member said he might come. The published pictures show Ive and Ahrendts.
The press day had fallen fifteen years after the first two stores opened in May 2001.
Genius Grove under trees. A plaza through to the north. A boardroom for small firms.
A visitor still comes off Post Street through the tall doors.
