Biography | Philipp Navratil — Nespresso's Desk on Chaussée de la Guinguette

In July 2024 Philipp Navratil became chief executive of Nestlé Nespresso S.A.

The company's Swiss commercial register and LEI record put the headquarters at Chaussée de la Guinguette 10, 1800 Vevey.

Help.ch prints that address at 46.464917 north, 6.8449494 east, a few hundred metres from Avenue Nestlé 55.

Nespresso had spent years in Lausanne, at Avenue de Rhodanie 40. Nestlé announced in 2019 that the brand's global headquarters would move to Vevey, onto the historic site where Henri Nestlé had worked in 1867.

About 350 Nespresso staff were scheduled to relocate from early 2021.

By the time Navratil took the Nespresso job, that move was done. He inherited a Vevey desk, not a Lausanne one.

The official CV lists the 2024 title as CEO, Nestlé Nespresso S.A., International Headquarters. On 1 January 2025 he joined the Nestlé Executive Board as executive vice president while keeping the Nespresso role.

Coffee was already his lane. From 2013 he had run coffee and beverages in Mexico. From 2020 he had headed Nestlé's Coffee Strategic Business Unit in Switzerland, the group that holds Nescafé and the Starbucks licence.

Nespresso was the visible next step, not a sideways jump.

Eight months after he entered the executive board, the directors dismissed Laurent Freixe and put Navratil in the group chief's chair.

The Nespresso year is easy to skip in that rush. It is the last job he held before the title changed.

The pin is the Vevey legal address of Nestlé Nespresso S.A., a working campus, not a boutique.

A visitor should not expect a public tour of his former office. The street and the register entry are what can be stood beside.
