Noto's second floor still asks a question on the wall: when will we meet again.

The official listing puts the Moshi Moshi Corner on that floor, glass between the departure lobby and the boarding lounge, year-round, no ticket required beyond the security line.

The airport itself opened on 7 July 2003 as a greenfield strip on the peninsula, later branded Noto Satoyama Airport, later still given a Pokemon nickname for a fixed term.

The booth is older than the nickname. It is the same analog pair used at Miyazaki and Hakodate: a handset on each side of a pane that security will not let you cross.

Noto is far from Kanazawa. People who come this far to see someone off have already spent the morning on the road.

That is the reason the glass is still wired.

After the January 2024 earthquake the parking lot became an evacuation point and the runway needed a temporary fix. The terminal kept listing the corner among its ordinary services.

The copy on the airport page is short. It does not sell a view. It sells the interval after the gate and before the peninsula ends.
