Biography | Philipp Navratil — The Auditor Who Walked Into Avenue Nestlé 55

Nestlé's global headquarters stands at Avenue Nestlé 55 in Vevey, on Lake Geneva.

Jean Tschumi designed the building. Work finished in 1960. The firm still lists that street number as the visiting address.

Philipp Navratil arrived here in 2001 as an audit-team member in Nestlé's internal audit group.

The company's own curriculum vitae is blunt about the start: 2001, Audit Team Member, Nestlé S.A. Then 2003, Team Leader, same group.

He was twenty-five, fresh from the St. Gallen licence.

Later profiles say the audit years sent him through factories and distribution centres in Mexico, Japan, Honduras, India, Colombia and Germany.

Those travel lists come from secondary round-ups after the 2025 appointment. The primary CV does not name the countries. Treat the list as reported, not as a stamped itinerary.

What is stamped is the job. He did not join a brand team or a country office first. He joined the people who open the books.

In 2005 the same CV moves him to Nestlé Central America as a key-account and regional-sales manager. Panama appears in later press accounts of that stretch.

The Vevey pin is the door he used first, not the last desk.

A visitor today sees the Tschumi block from the avenue, a public front on a working headquarters. It is not a museum of 2001. It is the same address the 1 September 2025 press release was datelined from.

That reuse is the point of the career. Twenty-four years after the audit badge, the board named him chief executive in a statement headed Vevey, Switzerland.

The first title on the CV and the last one share a street.
