On 10 September 2020 Citigroup named Jane Fraser to succeed Michael Corbat.
She took the job on 1 March 2021.
Citi's own heritage page records the date and the fact that followed it: the first woman to lead a major U.S. bank.
The headquarters by then was no longer 399 Park Avenue.
In 2016 the bank had bought back 388 and 390 Greenwich Street in Tribeca and moved the centre of the firm downtown.
The Kohn Pedersen Fox tower faces the Hudson.
That is the public building a visitor can photograph from West Street.
Fraser had joined Citi in 2004 after a decade at McKinsey.
She ran strategy through the financial crisis, then the private bank, U.S. consumer and mortgages, Latin America, the global consumer bank, and the presidency.
The title change happened at this address.
A visitor sees an office tower, not a museum.
