第12話「想い出は石とノイズと」の後半、景色は街の雑音から山の静けさへ切り替わり、鳥居の先へ道が伸びる。Anitabiが照合したのは、福島県郡山市の鹿島大神宮へ入る地点だ。この先で知られる巨大ペグマタイトは、信仰の対象となる岩と、石英や長石の大きな結晶を育てた地質を同じ場所で見せる。鉱石ラジオを直す物語が、電線や回路だけでなく、祖父の残した石がどんな土地から来たのかを考える旅へ広がるのにふさわしい。鳥居をくぐる前に立ち止まり、境内では参拝者の時間を優先する。採集はしない。石段の先で岩肌を見れば、人が御神体と呼ぶものと地質学が巨晶と呼ぶものが、同じ光を返している。
