鉱石ラジオが鳴らない。そこでルリ、硝子、葵の三人は、第12話「想い出は石とノイズと」の途中、作中の「ストーンバックス」でテーブルを囲む。モデルとされるイーサイト高崎店のガラス越しには駅を行き交う人が見え、手元では祖父の記憶、拾ってきた石、電線の仕組みが少しずつ一つの回路につながっていく。研究室ではない場所だからこそ、わからないことを口にし、思いつきを試す三人の距離が自然に見える。訪れるなら通常の客として注文し、混雑時の撮影や長時間の席の占有は避けたい。窓際でカップを置き、駅の案内音と人の声を聞いてみる。その雑音の層こそ、石から微かな電波を拾おうとした回の続きをつくっている。
