Biography | Revathi Advaithi — The Million-Dollar Scholarship She Announced Under This Clock Tower

In July 2026 Revathi Advaithi came back to this campus as chief guest at Convocation 2026.

BITS Pilani conferred degrees on 1,477 graduates at the Pilani campus that season.

She was no longer the undergraduate who had arrived in 1986.

She was the chief executive of Flex, returning as an alumna of the mechanical class of 1990.

With her husband, Jeevan Mulgund, she announced a one-million-dollar endowment.

The fund was named the Visalam Swamy and Sucheta Mulgund Scholarship, after their mothers.

The institute said it would support women students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in perpetuity.

In the same announcement BITS restated that she had been the only woman in her mechanical engineering class.

The clock tower is the same landmark that sat at the centre of the campus when she enrolled.

A living executive is not pinned to a private room.

This is a public ceremony on a public campus, a different moment from the degree itself.
