Biography | Revathi Advaithi — Named Flex CEO From the America Center Offices

On 11 February 2019 Flex Ltd. announced from San Jose that Revathi Advaithi would be chief executive and a director.

She was fifty-one.

The company was then a roughly twenty-five-billion-dollar contract manufacturer, still widely known by its older name, Flextronics.

Michael M. McNamara was retiring.

The board chair, Michael Capellas, said the search had considered internal and external candidates.

Advaithi came from Eaton, where she had been president and chief operating officer of the Electrical Sector.

She had started on an Eaton factory floor in Shawnee, Oklahoma, in the mid-1990s, spent six years at Honeywell, and returned to Eaton before the Flex offer.

Flex is incorporated in Singapore.

Its United States corporate office in 2019 sat at 6201 America Center Drive in the Alviso district of San Jose, the address on the company's SEC filings that year.

The announcement dateline was San Jose.

Under her the firm kept shifting from pure contract assembly toward broader design-to-delivery work across factories in about thirty countries.
