On the Shinkansen platform at Morioka, the green Hayabusa and red Komachi meet nose to nose and lock together for the run south. Episode 2 lingers on that coupling as Nobara travels toward Tokyo. It is a small piece of railway procedure, but it quietly prepares the story for another unlikely connection: three first-year sorcerers about to be placed on the same team.

Watch the staffs’ practiced signals and the last few metres close between the trains. The motion is slow, almost cautious, then ends with a mechanical click. The anime chooses that exact instant—separate routes joined before the journey continues.
