Stairway to Heaven | Lotte World Ice Rink — One Floor Below the Horses

The ice is not a metaphor. It is a public rink under the same roof as the carousel, one floor down, in the indoor Adventure hall at 240 Olympic-ro.

VisitKorea listed it next to the horses: Song-joo and Jung-suh skate here as children. Wikipedia's production note groups the rink with the carousel and with Cha Song-joo's family business, all shot inside the Lotte World recreation complex that opened in 1989. The rink still takes public sessions. You hear blades before you see the ice.

The park sells a combined ticket. Jamsil Station feeds the building from below. Nothing about the scene required a closed set. The drama borrowed a floor that Seoul already used after school.

Watch a public session and the geometry is the same: oval, rails, a painted hall that never quite becomes a gym. The series needed two children who could not stay on the ground. The rink is still there for anyone who buys a ticket and steps onto it.
