Stairway to Heaven | Lotte World Camelot Carousel — The Horses They Never Outgrew

The carousel in Lotte World Adventure does not look like a memory. It looks like a ride that still turns under a painted sky, horses frozen mid-step, while Jamsil keeps moving around the glass box.

SBS put Cha Song-joo and Han Jung-suh here as children. They rode the Camelot Carousel inside the indoor park at 240 Olympic-ro, Songpa-gu, the same horses later generations photograph in school uniforms. VisitKorea's old Hallyu page is blunt about it: this is where they played, and one floor down is the ice. Years later Song-joo comes back to the same circle, wishing to see her once more, and looks up to find Jung-suh on a horse.

Lotte World opened in July 1989. The indoor Adventure hall is still a ticketed public park, reached from Jamsil Station exits 3 and 4 without stepping outside. The carousel sits in the European street that the park never quite let become a corridor. You pay, you walk in, and the horses are still there.

Stand under the canopy and the building noise drops a register. The painted ceiling does the rest. That is the scene the series kept returning to: not a demolished set, but a ride that never stopped.
