Crash Landing on You|Iseltwald Landing Stage — The Piano That Was Never Left Behind

The boards are short. Lake Brienz does the rest of the work. From the end of the landing stage at Iseltwald the water goes turquoise, then dark, then into the wall of the Brienzergrat. A piano stood here for a few hours in 2019. It was a prop. The village of four hundred people did not keep it.

In episode 3 of Crash Landing on You, Ri Jeong-hyeok comes back to this dock in memory. He plays while a boat slides in from the lake. Yoon Se-ri is on that boat. The scene lasts seconds and sent a line of visitors down Seestrasse that Interlaken Tourism still measures in buses. The commune put a turnstile on the gangway. Five Swiss francs buys the walk to the last plank.

Stand there without the piano. The BLS boat still calls at Harbor Iseltwald. The Strandhotel still faces the same water. What the drama needed was a place small enough that a private grief would show. The dock is still that size. You hear the next boat before you see it.
