Biography|Gustav Söderström — Named KTH Alumnus of the Year in This City Hall

People treat a streaming executive's honors as industry dinners.

In May 2019 the honor was civic.

KTH named Gustav Söderström Årets Alumn 2019 and handed the diploma in Stockholms stadshus on 28 and 29 May.

The university's own page records the ceremony in Ragnar Östberg's hall on Kungsholmen, finished in 1923.

The street address is Ragnar Östbergs Plan 1, on the eastern tip of the island beside Riddarfjärden.

The citation credited the KTH thesis that became Kenet Works, the sale of that company to Yahoo in 2006, and the later product work at Spotify.

On 17 October that year he spoke about Spotify's short history in Nymble, the student union house back on the Valhallavägen campus.

The City Hall is the same building that hosts the Nobel banquet.

The tower stands 106 metres.

A visitor stands under it, not in a private office.

Söderström is a living executive.

The pin is the public ceremonial hall already on every tourist map of Stockholm.
