Ted Lasso | Selhurst Park — One Pass and the Drop

Selhurst Park becomes AFC Richmond’s Nelson Road for the match that closes Ted Lasso’s first season. Richmond need a result against Manchester City to survive. They claw back to level the score, hope surges through the ground, and then Jamie Tartt makes the unselfish extra pass Ted taught him to make. City score. Richmond are relegated, and Ted’s lesson succeeds at exactly the moment it hurts him most. The real home of Crystal Palace gives the fictional club its tight stands, floodlights, and unmistakable sense of a neighborhood ground; Crystal Palace’s own venue site identifies Selhurst as a filming home of Ted Lasso. Access requires care in 2026: regular stadium tours stopped after 3 May during Main Stand redevelopment, so check the club’s latest notices and use only a valid match or event ticket for interior access.
