People treat a later Olympique Lyonnais chief as someone who must have started under Fourvière.

Laurent Prud'homme was born on 29 August 1974 in Hyères, in the Var.

Company filings and the French biographical record place the birth in that commune, the old resort the nineteenth century nicknamed Hyères-les-Palmiers.

The pin is the Hôtel de Ville on avenue Joseph Clotis, the civic building a visitor can stand in front of.

He later told a Lyon radio interviewer that the first years included a stretch in Toulon, and that his father served as a naval officer on submarines, which is why the household moved.

The Lyon attachment came through his mother's side and through school, not through the birth register.

Hyères remains the documented origin.
