Biography | Linda Jackson — Named to Run Citroen from 75 Grande Armee

People remember the Citroën revival of the mid-2010s as a Carlos Tavares story told from the top of PSA.

The brand chair changed first, and it changed on paper issued from this building.

On 7 May 2014 PSA announced that Linda Jackson, then managing director of Citroën in the United Kingdom and Ireland, would become CEO of the Citroën brand from 1 June 2014.

She replaced Frédéric Banzet, who moved to a senior role at FFP, the Peugeot family holding company.

The same notice named Yves Bonnefont CEO of the new DS brand. Jackson and Bonnefont joined Maxime Picat, already CEO of Peugeot, as the three brand chiefs of the Back in the Race plan.

They sat on the executive committee and reported to Tavares.

Jackson was fifty-five. Press notices called her the first British woman, and the third woman after Annette Winkler at Smart and Mary Barra at General Motors, to run a major car company.

PSA's headquarters of that decade was 75 avenue de la Grande Armée, in the 16th arrondissement.

The group had sold the building in 2012 and leased it back. The address on the appointment paper did not move.

She held the Citroën chair until 14 January 2020, when Vincent Cobée succeeded her.
