The first long Stuttgart address on the public record is a school door in Degerloch.

The Stuttgarter Zeitung records that his father took the caretaker post at the Waldschule after the family left Mallersdorf, and that Klaus Zellmer later sat in its classrooms.

The school still stands at Georgiiweg 1, below the Stuttgart television tower, as the city's oldest surviving private school.

It is a public campus a visitor can reach without walking up to anyone's house.

He later took the Abitur at the Königin-Charlotte-Gymnasium in Möhringen, so Degerloch was the first institutional address, not the last school door.

The caretaker post is why the household landed in this quarter of Stuttgart rather than in Zuffenhausen or Feuerbach.
