Klaus Zellmer was born in 1967 in Mallersdorf, a market town in Lower Bavaria, as the Volkswagen and Škoda official biographies both state.

The Stuttgarter Zeitung later added the family move: about four weeks after the birth his parents took him to Stuttgart, where his father took the caretaker post at the Waldschule in Degerloch.

The pin here is Kloster Mallersdorf, the Benedictine pile that still marks the town a visitor can stand in front of.

The family house is not published.

The exact ward is not on the public record, so this memory does not pretend the abbey was a delivery room.

Mallersdorf remains the documented origin.

Nothing in the later Porsche, Volkswagen or Škoda titles rewrites that first line.
