On 24 June 2025 Birmingham City published a one-page appointment.

Jeremy Dale, interim chief executive since 16 January, was confirmed as the club's permanent CEO, effective immediately.

The January statement is also on the club site. Garry Cook had stepped down that day.

Dale, then vice-chair of the Foundation, was asked to hold the office while a search began.

Five months later the search ended with the man already in the chair.

BBC Sport and the club release agree on the date and the job.

Both note the Microsoft years and the 2023 takeover work as the reason the board trusted him with the whole operation.

The pin is the same ground he had walked investors around two summers earlier.

By June 2025 the club was coming off promotion from League One.

The stadium's sponsored name was already St Andrew's at Knighthead Park.

Dale is a living executive. This memory records a public appointment at a public stadium, not a private address.

The short version is simple. A supporter who had sold phones and software was given the keys to the club he grew up in, on this site, on that Tuesday.
