Jean Todt did not slip out of Ferrari in a quiet memo.
On 18 March 2008 the shareholders met in Maranello, chaired by Luca Cordero di Montezemolo.
The board, meeting immediately afterward, noted Todt's wish to leave the chief-executive chair.
It named Amedeo Felisa, then general manager, as CEO.
Reuters filed the same day from Milan.
Ferrari's own statement, datelined Maranello, 18 March 2008, is the primary record.
Felisa was sixty-two.
He had been at the company since 1990 and general manager since 2006.
Todt stayed on the board and kept regional chairs.
The factory address on the statement is the same Via Abetone Inferiore 4 that still prints on Ferrari N.V.'s corporate page.
He held the job until 2 May 2016, when Ferrari announced his retirement after twenty-six years and gave the CEO title to Sergio Marchionne.
He remained a director and technical adviser.
The 2008 meeting is the public moment.
The 2016 note is the close of that chapter, issued from the same works.
