Aston Martin did not go outside the board for a new chief.
On 4 May 2022 the company published an RNS: Tobias Moers would leave, and non-executive director Amedeo Felisa would become CEO with immediate effect.
Reuters and the official Aston Martin account posted the same day.
Roberto Fedeli, another Ferrari engineer, was named chief technical officer from 1 June.
Moers stayed through a handover into July.
The job sat at Gaydon, Warwickshire, Banbury Road, CV35 0DB, on the old RAF Gaydon field.
The purpose-built factory opened in September 2003.
It is not a public museum.
The British Motor Museum next door is the visitor building.
The pin is the headquarters and plant, the place named in the appointment.
Felisa was seventy-five.
He had already been on this board.
He held the CEO seat until September 2024, when Adrian Hallmark succeeded him.
The Gaydon appointment is a late second act, not a founding.
The engineering reputation that made the board trust him was built at Arese and Maranello.
