At Takeoka Port, a vending machine stands against a working waterfront and becomes one of the series’ most instantly recognizable pieces of street furniture. だがしかし understands the particular comfort of a lit machine in a quiet place: cold cans behind glass, a low electric hum, and enough brightness to turn an ordinary pause into a meeting point. The harbor and nearby fish-handling buildings return in the coastal passages associated with episode 10, when the story briefly lets concern for Hotaru outrun its usual comedy.

The port is not an abandoned backdrop. Boats unload, vehicles maneuver, and equipment belongs to people working here. Watch from public space and never obstruct access. Arrive near dusk, when the water turns dark before the sky does; the vending machine’s rectangle of light then feels less like product placement than a small promise that the characters’ town is still awake.
