第8話、海夢と新菜は片瀬東浜へ足を延ばす。海夢はためらわず波打ち際へ走り、制服のまま海に近づく。新菜は濡れることを心配するが、彼女にとって目の前の楽しさは、きれいに帰る予定よりいつも少し強い。衣装や撮影の目的から離れた時間だからこそ、二人が一緒にいること自体が画面に残る。
浜へ下りると、江の島が横に長く浮かび、砂の上では街の音が急に遠くなる。満潮時は波が思ったより高く届くので、同じ構図を追って水際へ背を向けないこと。靴の中に入った砂を払うころ、海夢が夏を予定ではなく体で覚える人だと分かる。
