People treat CDW as a Vernon Hills technology distributor that always printed CDW on Nasdaq.
The 2013 issuer had been taken private in 2007 by Madison Dearborn and Providence Equity for 7.3 billion dollars.
Reuters recorded that the two firms withdrew 4.5 million selling-stockholder shares before pricing, cutting the deal 16 percent to 23.3 million shares.
Renaissance Capital and Baird both recorded the price at 17 dollars, the bottom of a revised 17-to-18-dollar range that had started at 20 to 23.
Gross proceeds were about 395 million dollars in 2013 currency.
Nasdaq's own welcome release said trading began on 27 June 2013 under CDW.
The Associated Press recorded the stock up 1.57 dollars, or 9.2 percent, to 18.57 in morning trading that day.
The company's 2012 book showed 10.13 billion dollars of revenue and 119 million dollars of net income in 2012 currency.
The mechanism is a leveraged-buyout exit. Private-equity owners cut the float and the price rather than sell into a week when the Dow had already dropped more than 4 percent from a one-month high.
New cash went toward debt repayment, not a primary growth raise.
