People treat CBRE as a Dallas brokerage that always printed CBRE on the Big Board.
The 2004 issuer was CB Richard Ellis Group, a Delaware company folded after a 2001 take-private.
The company's investor FAQ records that common stock started trading on the New York Stock Exchange on 10 June 2004 at 19.00 dollars a share under CBG.
The same-day pricing release said 24,000,000 Class A shares were sold, 7,726,764 by the company and 16,273,236 by selling stockholders.
Company net proceeds before expenses were given as approximately 138 million dollars in 2004 currency.
The selling stockholders granted a 3,600,000-share overallotment.
Property Week recorded that the 19-dollar price sat below a 20-to-22-dollar range floated in April, and that the first close was 18.35 dollars on volume of 11.6 million shares.
The mechanism is a private-equity re-listing. Blum Capital and other owners sold most of the offered paper after taking the old public CB Commercial line private in 2001.
Holders of the new CBG line were buying a leveraged services book, not the 1906 San Francisco partnership.
The ticker became CBRE on 19 March 2018. That was a symbol change, not a new issue.
The pin is the Broad Street facade of the Exchange, where CBG first printed. Interior trading is not visitable from the sidewalk.
