Crash Landing on You | Sigriswil Panorama Bridge — A Photograph Instead of a Jump

The deck is punched steel, a metre twenty wide, and it moves. Three hundred and forty metres of cable stitch Sigriswil to Aeschlen across the Gummischlucht. One hundred and eighty-two metres down, the Guntebach is a thin sound. Lake Thun sits in the west. The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau hold the south if the weather lets them.

Episode 4 of Crash Landing on You puts Yoon Se-ri on this span with a reason to step off it. Ri Jeong-hyeok and Seo Dan are already walking the same boards. He asks a stranger to take their picture. The request is small. It is also the first time he keeps her on the living side of a rail. The series returns here in episode 12, when a voice recorder makes him understand who stood opposite him, and again in episode 16, when he photographs her on the same steel.

The bridge opened in 2012 as a paid crossing on the Lake Thun panorama trail. Eight francs at the kiosk. Bus 21 from Interlaken Ost or Thun still stops at Sigriswil Dorf; the walk from the stop is minutes. The deck is public once you pay. The gorge does not care about the plot. Stand in the middle and feel the grid flex under a tourist's step. That is the scene without the camera.
