Biography|Werner Baumann — The Diplom He Took at This Aachen Facade

The assumption is that Bayer chiefs come out of chemistry labs on the Rhine.

Baumann studied economics instead, at RWTH Aachen University and the University of Cologne.

His public career record lists a Diplom in Wirtschaftswissenschaften at RWTH.

Munzinger places the Diplom-Examen in 1988 after study at both universities.

German profiles add that his special subjects were tax and accounting.

The Hauptgebäude at Templergraben 55 is the public face of that school.

Robert Cremer designed the administration block between 1865 and 1870.

The Aula sits behind the stone stair on the Templergraben side.

Manager Magazin later recorded that he had been headed for an auditing firm and accepted Bayer instead, thinking a quieter company would leave time for a doctorate he did not finish.

Bayer's own history page confirms the two universities and the 1988 join date that followed the exam.

The building still stands.

A visitor sees the same facade a late-1980s economics student walked toward.

No lecture-room number survives in the public record, so the pin stays on the listed Hauptgebäude rather than a vanished seminar door.
