You're Beautiful|YES24 Live Hall — The Gwangjang Room Where A.N.JELL Played for Real

On 20 September 2009, two and a half weeks before You're Beautiful aired, the four leads walked onto a stage in Gwangjang-dong and played as A.N.JELL. The room was then called Melon AX. It is the same hall that now reads YES24 Live Hall at 20 Gucheonmyeon-ro, Gwangjin-gu.

The concert was not a set. Park Shin-hye, Jang Keun-suk, Jung Yong-hwa and Lee Hong-gi performed for ticketed fans in the building that still books K-pop and rock nights. Capacity is about 2,500 standing, just over a thousand seated. Line 5 to Gwangnaru, exit 2, seven minutes on foot. The brick and black-box interior has been rebranded twice — AX-KOREA, Melon AX, YES24 — but the address has not moved.

That matters because so much of the drama is pretend: a fake member, a fake gender, a fake band living in a house built for cameras. This hall is the one night the fiction leaked into a real ticket line. Walk the sidewalk on a dark afternoon and you hear load-in trucks. That sound is closer to episode 16's concert than any soundstage.

The series premiered on 7 October 2009. The Gwangjang date is the pilgrimage that does not require a studio tour. If a show is on, buy a ticket. If the doors are shut, stand on Gucheonmyeon-ro and look at the same loading dock the 2009 crew used.
