When Life Gives You Tangerines | Hyeopjae Beach — White Sand Against Biyangdo

The west coast does not give you a crater. It gives you a sandbar and an island you can point at.

Hyeopjae Beach lies in Hallim-eup at 2497-1 Hyeopjae-ri, a wide pale shore with Biyangdo sitting just offshore. When Life Gives You Tangerines used this western water for later chapters when the family has already left the first village and the sea is still the same job. Hallim Port, a few minutes away, took the fishing-boat pickup. The beach took the light.

The water here is shallow and clear. Tour buses already knew the place. The drama did not invent a secret cove. It borrowed a public beach Jeju had been selling for years and let the characters walk it as if the sand belonged to their decade.

Stand at the waterline and Biyangdo holds the middle of the frame. That is the shot the series wanted: a working island seen from a working shore. You leave with white dust on your shoes and the west of Jeju mapped onto a story that most viewers thought was only the east.
