Something in the Rain|Seorakhang — The Harbor at the Foot of the Mountain

Sokcho's southern edge used to be called Naemulchi. The city renamed the harbor Seorakhang so tourists would stop confusing it with Yangyang's Mulchi Port.

Something in the Rain brought Jin-ah and Jun-hee to this breakwater when the plot needed salt instead of rain. The East Sea sits on one side. Seoraksan sits on the other. Fishing boats and a short lighthouse do the rest. Seorak Haemaji Park is the public lawn next door; the harbor wall is free and open.

Korean Wikipedia puts Seorakhang on the official location list with Cheongdam restaurants and the Inje birches. The harbor is smaller than Daepo Port a few minutes north. That is why the camera liked it. There is nowhere to hide a crane. You see the couple, the water, and the mountain in one frame.

Stand on the breakwater at first light. The mountain does not move. The boats do. That is the shot.
