Mr. Bean | Harrods — A Nativity Invaded by Dinosaurs

Mr. Bean enters Harrods for Christmas decorations and turns product testing into a threat to the entire building. He checks baubles by dropping them, plugs a string of lights into the wrong socket, and plunges the famous exterior into darkness. Then the toy department offers a Nativity scene that is far too orderly. Guards march in, a tank advances, a dinosaur arrives, and a Dalek joins the stable until the store manager ends the performance with a toy policeman. “Merry Christmas, Mr. Bean” filmed at the Brompton Road department store, using its scale and ceremony as the straight face against Bean’s private epic. Harrods remains a working public shop, not a preserved set, and its displays change constantly.
