Finance History | Nasdaq MarketSite — Eighty Dollars Priced and a First Print at Seventy

People treat AppLovin as a Palo Alto advertising engine and a later S and P 500 weight.

The first public print happened on a Times Square board, not in a lab.

AppLovin Corporation was incorporated in Delaware on 18 July 2011 and built a mobile-app marketing and monetization platform from offices at 1100 Page Mill Road in Palo Alto.

KKR Denali Holdings became a principal stockholder before the listing.

On 14 April 2021 the firm priced 25 million Class A shares at 80 dollars each. The company sold 22.5 million. KKR Denali sold 2.5 million. AppLovin's later 10-K recorded 1.75 billion dollars of net proceeds in 2021 currency after discounts and expenses.

Class A common stock began trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on 15 April 2021 under the ticker APP. CNBC recorded an opening print near 70 dollars. TheStreet recorded a first-day close of 65.20 dollars, 18.5 percent below the offer price.

The dual-class charter left twenty votes on the Class B book. The listed share was the one-vote slice.

The mechanism is a software platform using a primary offering to retire a revolving credit line and fund more studio purchases after a year of stay-at-home app traffic. Four hundred million dollars of the proceeds repaid the revolver in full.

The pin is the public sidewalk at Nasdaq MarketSite, 4 Times Square, the board that carries new Nasdaq tickers. Page Mill Road is a leased research-park floor, not a visitor gallery.
