People treat Deckers Brands as a Goleta footwear house that always printed DECK on the New York Stock Exchange.

The 1993 issuer was Deckers Outdoor Corporation, a Carpinteria sandal maker whose first public book printed on Nasdaq.

Company histories compiled from the period record an October 1993 initial public offering priced at 15 dollars a share in 1993 currency. The common listed on the Nasdaq National Market under DECK.

A New York Times market column dated 7 February 1995 recorded a high of 24 dollars shortly after that offering and a later slide to 10 dollars by December 1994, still in Nasdaq trading.

Those same period histories put 1993 sales at 57.1 million dollars and net earnings at 6.3 million dollars in 1993 currency.

The mechanism is a licensed sport-sandal book going public. Holders bought Teva distribution, not a later UGG or HOKA franchise. Those brands arrived after the listing.

The pin is the public facade of Nasdaq MarketSite at 4 Times Square, the later face of the electronic market that first printed DECK. Interior studios are not a visitor floor.
