People treat a Creative Commons chief executive as someone formed inside a California license shop.

The American degree on her public biography was taken on this St. Paul campus.

Anna Tumadóttir grew up in Iceland, Scotland, and Malawi, then left home to study in Norway, the United States, South Africa, and Iceland again.

The World Economic Forum profile lists a bachelor's in political science from Macalester College.

Macalester's Reunion 2026 register for the Class of 2006 prints her name on the college's own attendee list, which is how the year of the degree is dated in public.

Old Main still faces the Grand Avenue and Snelling corner that works as the college's front door.

The east wing opened in 1884, when the college first used this lot.

The larger hall and concourse were finished in 1888 and 1889 to a design by the St. Paul architect William H. Willcox.

The National Park Service added the building to the National Register in 1977.

The later master's in strategic management, also listed by the Forum, came from the University of Iceland after this campus.

The decade that followed Macalester went into operations at distributed marketing start-ups, the trade Creative Commons later hired her to professionalize.

She joined that organization in September 2019 as Director of Product.
