People treat South by Southwest as a badge-and-keynote circuit that never names the open-license shop.
On this Congress Avenue lot, Creative Commons rented a house and put its new chief executive on the program.
WikiHaus at SXSW 2025 listed its address as 811 Congress.
The house ran Wikimedia, WikiPortraits, and Creative Commons sessions through the middle weekend of the festival.
The published Saturday card for 8 March 2025 put Anna Tumadóttir on The Next 25, a noon conversation about the future of open, with Cory Doctorow and Audrey Tang.
A later slot that afternoon, Preference Signals, listed her again.
The photograph that survives on Commons was taken on 10 March inside the same house, during a session the file describes as Creative Commons' Open House for an Open Future.
She sits in a folding chair with an SXSW 2025 lanyard.

The Board had appointed her CEO on 10 April 2024, after she had served as interim chief when Catherine Stihler left at the end of 2023.
This was not a headquarters unveiling.
Creative Commons by then published a Mountain View post-office box and ran as a distributed nonprofit.
The public room was a rented festival house on Congress, one block off the downtown grid that SXSW occupies each March.
A visitor today finds an ordinary Austin address, not a permanent CC office.
