Crash Landing on You | Sigriswil Panorama Bridge — A Photograph That Kept Her on the Deck

The deck is punched steel. It rings under a shoe. One hundred eighty metres below, the Guntebach cuts the Gummischlucht, and Lake Thun sits in the distance like a held breath.

In episode 4 of Crash Landing on You, Ri Jeong-hyeok sees a stranger too close to the rail. He asks her to take a photograph of himself and Seo Dan. The request is ordinary. It is also the thing that keeps Yoon Se-ri on the bridge. The opening theme later takes the village name: Sigriswil.

The span is 344 metres between Sigriswil and Aeschlen. It opened in 2012 as a paid pedestrian link on the Thunersee panorama walk, not as a set. Eight francs buys the crossing. The Alps do the rest. VisitKorea and Swiss tourism both list the same walk. On clear days the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau sit in the same frame as the cables.

Do not lean the way a still wants you to lean. The wind on the deck is real. Walk to the middle, look once at the gorge, then look at the lake. The series needed a place high enough for a bad idea and public enough for a favour. The village had already built it.
