People treat Intel's chief executive title as a single chair that only ever sits in one office.
On 1 December 2024 the board split it.
Patrick Gelsinger resigned as chief executive and director that day, effective immediately.
The Form 8-K filed the next day is the primary record.
The board appointed Michelle Johnston Holthaus and David Zinsner as interim co-chief executives until a permanent successor was named.
The same filing named her chief executive of the new Intel Products group.
That group gathered Client Computing, Data Center and AI, and Network and Edge under one product chief.
She stepped out of the Client Computing general-manager seat to take the new title.
Frank Yeary became interim executive chair and the board formed a search committee.
Intel Foundry's reporting line was left unchanged.
The pin is the Robert Noyce Building at 2200 Mission College Boulevard, the public face of the Santa Clara headquarters.
The 8-K does not name a conference room.
The campus is the place the company used as its address on the letter that later confirmed her Intel Products role.
Lip-Bu Tan became chief executive on 18 March 2025.
An 8-K/A recorded that her interim co-CEO service ended on that date and that she continued as chief executive of Intel Products.
She later moved into a non-executive role after September 2025.
This pin is the December morning the product side of Intel got a named chief of its own.
